TAPCT’s Mithravayal PHCC Inaugurated on Sep 4, 2016

The  Arun  Public  Charitable  Trusts (TAPCT)  inaugurated  the O.A.O.K.Rm. Arunachalam  Chettiar  Medical  Building and the  A. C. Muthiah Primary Health Care Centre at Mithravayal, Sivaganga District, Tamil Nadu, India on Sep 4, 2016.


The  building  plaque  was  unveiled  by  Thava  Thiru. Kundrakudi  Ponnambala  Adigalar & the  ribbon  cutting  was  done by Dr. A. C. Muthiah, Founder A. C. Muthiah Medical Foundation (ACMMF). This was followed by Kuthuvilakku lighting by Mrs. Valli Arun, Mrs. Dr. Devaki Muthiah & Ms. Vilasini M. Arun. Tree Plantings were done by Thava Thiru. Kundrakudi Ponnambala Adigalar & Dr. A. C. Muthiah, Ms. Vilasini M. Arun & Mr. Vikram R. Arun. All dignitaries were honoured by TAPCT Trustees & O.A.O.K.Rm Family Members.





During the inaugural function, the Welcome address was given by Mr. Ar Rm Arun, Managing Trustee, TAPCT. In his address (English, Tamil), Mr. Arun elaborated that the Medical Building opened at Mithravayal was in remembrance of his Ancestors and the land they originated from. Mahatma Gandhi’s words, “Be the change you want to see in this world” was the inspiration of setting up this Primary Health Care Centre (PHCC). The PHCC is a free Medical Center for child birth, women’s health & other preventive medical care. The PHCC’s vision is to create health awareness in Mithravayal and surrounding villages, along with providing effective medical services.


The Introductory speech was given by Mr. P. Vedagiri, Director, ACMMF. Mr. P. Vellaisamy, President, Mithravayal Panchayat delivered a Special address.


The Guest of Honor, Dr. A. C. Muthiah, briefed in his address about the vison of ACMMF & the benefits of its PHCCs in remote villages. The Special address was given by Kulandai Kavingar Mr. Sella Ganapathy. The Chief Guest Thava Thiru. Kundrakudi Ponnambala Adigalar addressed the gathering & appreciated the efforts of Mr. Ar Rm Arun & TAPCT. The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Mr. S. Rajasekar, Trustee, TAPCT.





The event was well attended by Members of the O.A.O.K.Rm & extended Family, Special Invitees, Residents of Mithravayal and its surrounding Villages, Members of ACMMF & the Medical Community and the Press.
